When

Five-year-old Logan Sykes suffers from the Lowe Syndrome. It affects his eyes, brain and kidneys. He was born with many things happening to his body and has endured 54 surgeries. He was born with glaucoma and cataracts, causing his eyes to swell. This prompted the surgical removal of both of his eyes.

His kidneys are impacted by Renal Fanconi Syndrome. When he drinks or eats, his body doesn’t receive the nutrients, calcium, and protein needed for healthy growth.

Logan’s parents were told by doctors that Logan will never walk, talk, or communicate.

It is a struggle for this family to give Logan the love and support he needs.

One struggle we’d like to help relieve is the financial burden for care for this cute little boy. Join us Sunday, Aug. 28 from noon until 8 p.m. for a benefit fundraiser.

Included will be a gun raffle with tickets on sale for just $5 each. There will also be an auction.

Cooking will be performed by Cookin’ for Christ. Fajita dinners will be offered from noon until gone for $10 per plate donations. To-go plates are available as well.

Children are welcome until 6 p.m.

For more information, please see Logan’s Day on Facebook. The organizers are Catherine Hood (325) 656-5152; Danielle Cross (325) 234-5836; Debbie Cross (325) 234-1303 and Drema Neves (325) 763-7250.

We are collecting items for auction up and until the time of the benefit. Call anyone above if you’d like to contribute.
