Coke Hendry and Medicine Hat

Coke Hendry with backing band, Medicine Hat, brings to light a fresh new roots/rock vibe in Nashville, TN. Hendry, a Texan by birth and drifter by the grace of God has shared his tales of woe, redemption, hopelessness and sometimes salvation to crowds all across the Great States.

Hendry released his first EP 'Bound for Glory' in 2011 and will release another 'Stress and Medicine' (recorded in Austin, TX) in the spring of 2015.

'"We went into Rodeo Studios in Austin to demo some songs with guitarist Jason Nunnenkamp, and really liked the outcome of some of the them; so we plan to release a song called 'Rabbit Hole' and one more for the B side as a 7" 45rpm vinyl record and will offer digital downloads and CD's of all the songs as a 6-8 song EP," Hendry explained about the upcoming EP release 'Stress and Medicine'.

"Jason just let me run with some ideas and did a great job helping me bring them all to life with his instrumentation and engineering."

With a relocation to Nashville, Hendry looks forward to making new friends and fans. "I kind of have a natural tendency to roam even when not playing music. People and places really fascinate me, and at the end of the day, if a song or something I or the band creates helps us connect with people in a new place in a positive way, our job is done." Coke now resides just outside of Nashville with his wife, two kids, an old dog and a black cat named Jim Crow Bojangles.
