He's from Victoria and raised just outside of town in the small rural community of Inez, Mason Lively grew up in a country music atmosphere.
Growing up, he would listen to artists like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, and Ernest Tubb to name a few. Eventually studying artists in the Texas scene like Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green and many more, Mason started playing guitar at age 14 by learning basic chords, but claims that song-writing "sort of snuck up on him".
Mason has shared the stage with artists like Charlie Robison, Bart Crow, Roger Creager, Randy Rogers, Cory Morrow and Cody Johnson to name a few. His first EP, "Living Large in a Little Town", was released in 2014 and was co-produced by Lloyd Maines and Pat Manske at The Zone Studios outside Dripping Springs, Texas. Mason continues to write original songs that reflect his true passion, and is back in the studio to record his first full lenght album "Stronger Ties" set to be released in March 2018.
His friends say it, his building fan base says it, and other artists say it. Mason Lively, at age 20, is going places in Texas Music.
