When

Deep in south Texas there is an Old Spanish term that has been around for ages called “Dale Shine.” Its literal translation means to “give it shine,” but in today’s slang style it simply means “give it gas” and/or “go for it.”

In Stephenville hails a band so heavily mired in that credo that their stages are nearly overrun with fans pressed hard up against the edges, eyes wide, hanging on every word. In the Americanized version, they call themselves Dolly Shine.

After a two-year hiatus to focus on family and other projects, Dolly Shine is back together for a special three-stop tour. One stop is the storied Blaine’s Pub in San Angelo, part of the lucrative and talent-packed northern Texas Country Music routing.

Dolly Shine is performing just a limited number of shows in May 2019. The reunion tour band will feature original members Zack McGinn, Jerrod Flusche, and Johnny Goodson.

The first show will be at The Blue Light Live in Lubbock on May 3. This is followed by a live performance at Blaine’s Pub in San Angelo on May 11. The last stop is The Twisted J Live in Stephenville on May 18.

The Red Dirt Hat Co. is partnering with the band to offer an exclusive line of Reunion Tour merchandise. Anderson Bean boots are providing a ticket/boot bundle give-away at each show.

Dolly Shine

Dolly Shine has been cutting their teeth in the Texas/Oklahoma Tour Market for three years and they are ready to bust loose. With their current debut full length album “Room to Breathe”, recorded with Award-Winning Producer Bart Rose at Fort Worth Sound, these texas boys have found their sound and you are going to love it.

“Spinning My Wheels” the first single off of “Room to Breathe” reached forty-two on the Texas Music Charts, along with being in the top five in Lubbock for over two months. The album itself made Lone Star Music’s coveted ‘Top 100’ list for 2013. January 2014 brings a new partnership with Vision Entertainment out of Nashville and a new single “Should’ve Known”. Already back in the studio working on their next record (expected release Spring 2014), Dolly Shine is on a roll.

Their music brings just enough heart-ache and angst mixed in with one hell of a party, Dolly Shine will blow the doors off the bar. Their live performance will leave you singing their songs for weeks and begging for more. Zack McGinn’s lyrics are genuine and soul-soothing, mix that with Wes Hall’s fiddle & Mandolin and Josh Serrato penned guitar licks and you are left with a truly amazing musical experience.

Early in their career, Dolly Shine has already shared the stage with not only legends like Robert Earl Keen and Chris Knight, but also some of the biggest bands currently touring including Reckless Kelly,The Departed, Stoney LaRue,Turnpike Troubadours and Six Market Blvd. Along with playing some of the best stages in the scene; Gruene Hall, Firehouse Saloon, Wormy Dog, The Blue Light & LJT’s Rhymes & Vines just to name a few. Prepare yourself for the next chapter in what would be a very long and best selling book.
